What is Meditation?

Meditation is a deep state of relaxation that can enhance your physical well being and reduce stress. According to the Mayo Clinic, meditation was originally meant to help deepen understanding of the sacred and mystical forces of life and can even improve certain medical conditions. During meditation, you focus your attention and remove negative thoughts that cause stress.

Some scientific research is now supporting the health benefits of meditation saying it can help reduce allergies, anxiety, asthma, cancer, binge eating, fatigue, sleep problems, heart disease, high blood pressure, pain, and even substance abuse.
