What is Yoga?

Originating in India, Yoga as a practice includes a series of postures and breathing exercises to control the body and mind and promote a state of tranquility. The deliberate poses strengthen the body and help focus and relax the mind. Several different forms of yoga abound, from the extremely low impact to more physically demanding yoga including hot or Bikram yoga.
