My love/love Relationship with Essential Oils

I love love LOVE essential oils.  I’ve been using essential oils for years to make my own serums, eye creams, and salt scrubs in addition to using them for healing, balancing my chakras and just making me feel better.  They smell great and can help improve your mood in no time!

Essential oils are quite simply remarkable.  They have minuscule molecules that are able to penetrate the human body in seconds.  40 TRILLION molecules are in one drop of essential oil- which makes it so concentrated that there are 40,000 molecules of essential oil for each cell in the average human body.  Put one drop of essential oil on your foot (with a carrier oil of course)- and it can reach your organ system in 3 seconds!

Essential oils can also be measured through vibration.  Each therapeutic grade essential oil has a specific electromagnetic frequency or megahertz (MHZ) which can affect a person differently.  Rose Oil has the highest vibration known in nature, 320 Mhz.  (It takes between 3 and 5 thousand pounds of rose petals to produce one pound of rose oil!)  Lavender is 118 MHz, peppermint is 78 MHz and Basil is the lowest of the oils at 52 MHz.

The human body has been measured at 62 – 68 MHz (a healthy human body) while if you have a cold your energy can drop to 58 MHz.  Cancer begins at 42 MHz and death starts at 25 MHz.  Hold a cup of coffee, your body’s MHz drops by 8MHz, drink it, and your body’s frequency drops by 14 MHz!  It can take up to three days to come back into a healthy range unless you raise your vibration.  There are many ways to do this, meditation, prayer, Qigong- but the fastest and easiest is using essential oils.

What’s so interesting is that there is a new found obsession with essential oils in all types of products but the use of essential oils isn’t new.  Essential oils were used in the Bible to anoint people.  Prayer has been found to raise frequency levels by 15 MHz.  Using essential oils to anoint someone WITH prayer can actually raise the vibration of a person sky high!

Essential oils are also antimicrobial, antiseptic and antiviral which makes it an enemy of disease.  I always mix essential oils with a carrier oil to make serums (carrot oil, rose geranium and blue chamomile in a grape seed oil base are my favorites right now) but you can always feel your way.   Just make sure you’re not putting the essential oil directly on your skin- it’s so concentrated it can be irritating without a carrier oil.

Quick warning:  Always do some research on your own and consult a doctor if you’re on any medication.  This isn’t medical advice, so always be careful!  Also- big warnings here:  I would avoid most essential oils if you’re pregnant.  Certain essential oils can be dangerous if you’re expecting.  Be careful around pets as well.  Cats in particular find most essential oils toxic.  Just a small amount of tea tree oil externally can kill an adult cat.  This is powerful stuff that can be great if used properly, but always, feel your way.
